Orlando Churches to Go Green for New Year’s

A bundle of Orlando, Fla.-area churches, led by Northland Church, are planning to go green for the new year by asking church members to participate in Green Cleaning Day Jan. 11.

The event will allow people to drop off unwanted belongings in environmentally friendly ways. Still-usable items could be redistributed to those less fortunate while other items will be recycled.

Green Cleaning is targeting three areas: computers and accessories; handheld electronics and accessories, including cell phones; and clothing.
